Nadir and Yadirah are the founders of Islam By Touch and are both visually impaired. 12 years ago, Yadirah, who is completely blind, reverted to Islam and was looking for accessible literature in North America. Even internationally, she found limited resources and none of which were free. There are approximately 10 million blind people in the United States. It is estimated that 50,000 of them are Muslim. 75% of them live at or below the poverty line.
